Are you looking for companionship or a new friend online? Be aware that more times than not the people that you meet online are not exactly who you are looking for. Weird people, stupid people even crazy people can be found online. Hiding behind a computer screen can give you access to meet people that you would have never met before but it can also connect with unwanted friends. I have been a member of a motorcycle forum in my area and met many people that have turned out to be great people but there are those occasional crazy people that you wish you had never met. Do not give out more information then you have to when trying to meet people in your area. If you are going to set up a face-to-face meeting with them bring a friend and meet in a public place.
