find peopleIt's funny, I've always wondered why people don't give an honest answer when you ask them, "How are you?".  Do you find people who ever tell you actually how they are doing, or do you find they really find it easier to say, either fine or completely ignore you!  I find people sometimes will answer you with what you just said to them.

When I am in a shopping center, I have often thought to myself, "I wonder how these people are actually doing.  I have actually tried to get a response from them, and the way I did this was, I find people who are standing still.  I approach with sincerity in my eyes and say, "Hi, how are you today?"  I find people are usually really shocked and don't really want to answer me.  Have you ever tried that before?  Just try to find people who will answer you honestly!

I find people in church are more likely to share an answer with you when you ask them how they are!  I believe that is because they feel that people that go to church are kind.  Maybe it's just because they are trying to meet people that they can share their troubles with, so they can be prayed for.  I believe church is a safe place to answer honestly when someone asks how you are, and they won't think you one of those crazy people who just unload on you when you say anything to them.

So the next time you find people asking you, "How are you doing?", will you tell them the truth or just say your doing fine, in order to avoid a confrontation?

Check out this video below and you will find people actually, for the most part, don't want to tell you how they are doing.
