There is too many ignorant people around today.  People are ignorant of facts and not well-informed especially if they listen to only the mainstream media. They are not well educated if they have been through public education. There is way too much experimentation and political agenda being promoted in public education, so many people have graduated with a poor grasp of facts and unable to make their own decisions.  They are being indoctrinated in other words to be easily manipulated by those who want more government control of the American society.

This takes me to the point of a new report from the University of Pennsylvania which states that there is no evidence that drinking loads of water does not improve your health, I am skeptical. The basic conclusion was drink when you're thirsty.

The human body is made of up to 55-70% water, but what is lost everyday is not replenished automatically. The fact is that most adults lose between 2-3 quarts per day through normal body functions.

Many people walk around dehydrated and are ignorant of the fact. Thirst is a poor indicator of dehydration.  Dehydration has already taken place.  Actually twice as much water is needed to be consumed as it takes to quench  your thirst. Another fact is that instead of drinking water, soda or a beverage containing caffeine is consumed.  These drinks actually cause more dehydration, as does coffee or alcohol, making the problem worse.

One cup of water for every 20 lbs of weight is a good marker. a 150 lb  person not living or working in a hot climate would need 7.5 cups per day.

Frequent trips to the bathroom are not bad. If the urine is pale yellow that means enough water is being consumed.  A dark yellow color means the body is dehydrated and is concentrating the urine in an effort to conserve water.

Do not be ignorant, be well-informed.
