180 people was originally started with no theme really, other than how to meet people.  There are however way too many serious things going on in the world to ignore them.  One of the most significant changes is the "green washing" that is going on. Don't you really think that all the "going green" hype is really benefiting businesses more than it is the regular person?  Let's face it.  If man is causing all the "global warming" all human activity should stop before it is too late! More Government regulations are not that effective anyway and they think they are going to control climate!

The real problem is the potential distortions of energy policies that will severely damage national economies, decrease standards of living and increase poverty.  Is this what we really want?  The misdirection of resources will affect human health and welfare in industrialized nations and even in developing nations.  This could well lead to increased social tensions within nations and conflict between them.

Whose advantage is all this "going green" hype benefiting?  It isn't the regular everyday people trying to to just "get along". Does it really make sense that Al Gore who was a big part of the establishment would totally turn around and fight for the common man? You better believe it doesn't.

Tens of thousands of interested people benefit directly from the global warming scare (a massive amount of evidence supports the the fact that it doesn't exist at all) at the expense of the ordinary consumer. Not only is it the greatest advertising campaign ever but environmental organizations globally, such as Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, and the Environmental Defense Fund have pulled in billions of dollars. Government subsidies for useless mitigation schemes are large and growing.  Emissions trading programs (carbon credits) will soon reach $100 billion a year. Large fees are paid to brokers and those who operate the scams (Al Gore).

In other words many people have discovered they can take advantage of the climate scares and have formed  a deeply seated interests which will benefit them royally.  All is not clean and green. There's still a lot of dirt that remains and will until all the brain washing is brought to light.
