strange newsPeople can do strange things to solve their problems. Ron Borgna of Binghamton, New York has been disputing his water bill since September 2006 when he received a bill for $422.90. Borgna claims he was overbilled. Weird things like this can and do happen, let's face it. With additional charges, penalties and late fees the water bill has grown a little larger to $2,509.66.

To finally solve the problem Borgna wrote a check to the water company. Binghamton city officials refused to accept the check for one small reason.  It was written on floral print, two-ply toilet paper. After a short argument Borgna was escorted from the building. He said he will appeal the judgement against him in small claims court.

This may be strange news to some people, but a man does have to fight for his rights sometimes and not be rolled over by the water company.
